Skimmer

This is a type of swimming pool system that is commonly used in both residential and commercial pools. This system relies on the use of openings called “skimmers” located at the edges of the pool, which work to draw in surface water and clean it of dirt and debris.

The skimmer openings are connected by pipes to the equipment room, which contains water purification filters and water pumps. This system does not require a balancing tank, making it relatively less costly.
After the water passes through the filters, it is returned to the pool through other feed openings.
The skimmer system is characterized by its ease of use and maintenance, and cleaning surface water of dirt and debris is one of its most important advantages.

Effective water heating and sanitation systems can also be installed on this system, making it ideal for daily and recreational use in warm seasons.
The skimmer system is easy to install and less costly, but requires regular cleaning of the skimmer box to maintain its efficiency.
It is also characterized by not allowing the water level to reach the top of the pool, as there is always a space without water due to the direct discharge of water through the skimmer openings.
